An homage to my two favorite things to do: reading and wining (that's a word, right?). And other random samplings of thought.

Clean Slate = Small Joy
Sometimes a glass of wine is exactly what you need. A lovely German Riesling that's sweet but not. Smooth on the palette with notes of pear on the front end and leaving you with crisp taste of spring. A good wine can make you forget the big woes in life for just a moment as you take it in with all your senses. Ah, the woes in life. In the grand scheme of things they really do not matter. As a good friend once told me 'If you can go to bed at night, lay your head on the pillow, and know you've done right by all those you love, then you're doing fine. Just get up tomorrow and do it again.' So tonight I will enjoy the little things. I'm off to lay my head on my pillow. Cheers!

I heart wine and books too! And blogging. There's something therapy-like about blogging. Have you read Water for Elephants? I'm reading it now for the Book Club I've started in Eugene. I love it so far!
ReplyDeleteI have not. I just read an excerpt and I am definitely adding it to my list. I have wanted to start a book club for years! Are you accepting long distance members?
ReplyDeleteYou should read it! And join my book club. Although we might be too obnoxious together for the others to handle :)
